| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, September 28th, 2021: Devil Rays Right Fielder Injured
Frank Diaz had to leave the Devil Rays game against Oakland after suffering back spasms while making a defensive play. He will be out of the lineup at least 1-2 weeks. He told SION reporters, "I just felt a sharp pain when it happened. I knew there was something wrong."
This year Diaz is hitting .294 with 7 home runs and 46 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .379 clip and scored 51 runs.

 | Friday, September 24th, 2021: Tampa Bay Starting Pitcher Injured
Tampa Bay fans will be disappointed to learn that Mario Guan developed a strained bicep muscle while throwing a pitch in today's game. After the doctor informed the Tampa Bay Devil Rays manager that Guan was expected to miss 4 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the starting pitcher could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.
This season in 40 starts Mario Guan has a record of 24-6 with 231 strikeouts in 280.2 innings and a 3.40 ERA.

 | Monday, September 20th, 2021: Conception Firms Up Extension with Tampa Bay
Reports began circulating several days ago that Abrioux Conception would re-sign with the Devil Rays, but didn't materialize until today when the club officially confirmed SION's reports.
Details were sketchy, though Tampa Bay did say Conception would be with the club 2 years beyond his current deal.
In this current campaign Conception is hitting at a .281 clip with 18 home runs and 82 RBIs.
