| Breaking News |  | Friday, July 31st, 2020: Ramos Smacks 5 Hits for BaySox 5 hits in 5 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Ramón Ramos of the Bowie BaySox had a sensational 5-5 game against New Hampshire at BaySox Ballpark. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 12-5 shellacking of the Fisher Cats.
In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off...Right, skipper?"
R. Ramos doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off R. Correa in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

The talented center fielder for Bowie tagged opposing pitchers for a .556 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 15 hits in 27 at-bats, 1 homers, 5 runs scored and 5 RBIs.
This year Abbott is batting .331 with 1 home run and 16 RBIs. |  | Thursday, July 2nd, 2020: Hot Bat of Rodríguez Burns Sea Dogs The BaySox whipped the Sea Dogs 8-5 at BaySox Ballpark and Emílio Rodríguez had a big hand in the win. The BaySox left fielder came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Rodríguez and a tough day for Portland.
"I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan."
Plan or not, Rodríguez delivered today -- 5-5 is outstanding in any league.
E. Rodríguez singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off L. Stanley in the 9th.
