| Breaking News | | Tuesday, June 30th, 2020: Ikki Wants Out of Colorado? "Don't believe everything you hear." was the word from the team's ownership group after rumors of Jitsusaburou Ikki wanting out of Colorado surfaced late yesterday. No one knows exactly how this news broke and Ikki laughed it off when told of the story. | | Saturday, June 20th, 2020: Lumsden Sidelined for 1-2 Weeks A blow for Tyler Lumsden today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 1-2 weeks with dead arm syndrome. Lumsden suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Colorado Rockies are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Lumsden's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature.
So far this year Lumsden has a 5-6 record with a 4.98 ERA. | | Friday, May 29th, 2020: Number 300 for Moss At Coors Field Brandon Moss smashed his 300th career home run in a game against Oakland today. The 35-year-old center fielder had a hand in the Colorado Rockies 7-6 victory with 1 home run and 2 runs batted in. For the day he went 3 hits-4 at-bats.
At the press conference after the game, Moss downplayed his achievement.
"Obviously, I've hit 300 home runs so I belong in that 300 Club. But when you talk about the other guys that have done it, I'm not as good as they were. Those guys were the greatest of all time. I've just been able to scrape together some good years and stayed healthy and gotten there."
Moss has a career .285 batting average and .348 on-base percentage. He has recorded 1747 hits with 316 doubles, 54 triples, 300 homers, 1079 RBIs and scored 981 runs since coming into the league. | | | Injuries | | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | | P Jonathan Papelbon | strained back muscle | 2 weeks | Not on DL | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 43-42, .506 PCT | | Position in Division | 4th, 12.5 GB | | Record at home | 21-22, .488 PCT | | Record on the road | 22-20, .524 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 2-3, .400 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 9-10, .474 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 12-5, .706 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 31-37, .456 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 4-6, .400 PCT | | Record in April | 15-13, .536 PCT | | Record in May | 13-13, .500 PCT | | Record in June | 14-14, .500 PCT | | Record in July | 1-2, .333 PCT |
