"I hope we miss him next time," the Cincinnati manager said. "Honel certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
The Arizona starter tamed the Cincinnati Reds 3-0 with a 4-hit shutout, finishing the game with 2 strikeouts and no walks in a sharp outing.
"I enjoy facing a team like that where I can get an out on one, two or three pitches," Honel said. "It gives me a chance to be a lot more aggressive."
In 2021 thus far, Honel has tossed 94.1 innings in 13 starts, fanned 40 batters, walked 20 and put up a 5.53 ERA with 4 wins and 5 losses.

 | Saturday, September 18th, 2021: Michael Sabo Injured, Out of Lineup
Michael Sabo and the Arizona Diamondbacks got a bad break in today's game against the Marlins as the team confirmed he will miss 2 weeks with a strained hip muscle. The Diamondbacks second baseman suffered the injury running the bases. The team doctor is confident he'll make a full recovery.
In 138 games this season Sabo has batted at a .328 pace with 173 hits and 37 home runs.

The Arizona Diamondbacks were dealt a serious blow when the team learned that Michael Foster was likely to be out for 2 weeks after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. A round of tests by the team doctors revealed the injury to be dead arm syndrome. Upon learning of their diagnosis, the Arizona manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries--they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Michael is back in action."
So far this season, in 52 relief appearances Foster has compiled an ERA of 2.75. He has pitched 68.2 innings, struck out 44, walked 24 and registered 5 saves.
