| Breaking News |  | Saturday, May 22nd, 2021: Ordoñez Pitches Zephyrs to Shutout Victory
Alvin Ordoñez of the New Orleans Zephyrs was masterful today, pitching a 2-hit 3-0 shutout against the Sacramento River Cats and giving his bullpen a rest by going the the distance.
According to his manager, "He had command of every ball and every pitch . . . great location, too." Ordoñez had 11 strikeouts and issued 2 walks in an impressive outing.
In 2021 Ordoñez has compiled a 2-4 mark with a 2.98 ERA in 8 starts. In pitching 57.1 innings he has 51 strikeouts and 14 walks while limiting the opposition to a .211 batting average.

 | Monday, August 10th, 2020: PCL Player of the Week Named
The Pacific Coast League made it official today: Eric Patterson is the Player of the Week.
He really glistened on the diamond this week with a .400 average to take home the honor. The Sacramento shortstop went 10-25, drove in 8 runs, scored 8 times and hit 4 home runs.
In 2020 Patterson is hitting .261 with 93 hits, 18 home runs, 50 RBIs, .359 OBP and has scored 61 runs.

 | Friday, July 31st, 2020: Dilworth Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
All game long Iowa's Eli Dilworth was rattling the walls at Ballpark of Iowa and banging out base hits against the Sacramento River Cats. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Cubs had a 8-2 victory.
Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 29-year-old second baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this."
E. Dilworth singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off S. Lyke in the 8th.
Dilworth has collected 119 hits for the Cubs this year, 12 of them home runs. He has also netted 59 RBIs and scored 67 runs while batting .308.
