Alberto Larosa of the Memphis Redbirds put the finishing touch on an exceptional week of play by being named the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week.
He rocked the opposition with a .625 batting average, 15 hits in 24 at-bats, 1 home run and 7 RBIs while scoring 10 times.
In 2021 Larosa is batting .331 with 88 hits, 7 home runs, 49 RBIs, 29 walks, .401 OBP and has scored 44 runs. He has played in 65 games.

| Friday, June 11th, 2021: Larosa Tags Grizzlies 5 Hits
"Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Memphis's Alberto Larosa told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well."
It definitely turn out well for Larosa today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against Fresno. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Redbirds knocked off the Grizzlies 11-7 at Ballpark of Memphis.
A. Larosa singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off W. Long in the 8th.
This year Larosa has collected a .333 batting average to date with 86 hits in 258 at-bats, 48 RBIs, 7 home runs and scored 43 times. He has played in 63 games.

 | Tuesday, June 1st, 2021: Harper Sizzles! Smokes Redbirds for 5 Hits!
Tucson left fielder Shawn Harper could do no wrong in today's 13-4 win over the Redbirds as he collected 5 hits.
"In every one of his at-bats things were in his favor...he got hitter's counts," the skipper of the Redbirds said to the press corps after the game.
Harper agreed. "The key is getting ahead. Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit. You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."
S. Harper singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off J. Mar in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
Looking at his stats this year, Harper has compiled a .313 batting average, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 8 runs. He has played in 47 games and scored 9 runs.
