Looks like the Philadelphia Phillies will have to do without left fielder Mitch Einerston, who is suffering from bronchitis. He needs rest and medication and should be back at full strength in 1-2 weeks.
So far this year Einerston is batting .312 with 17 home runs.

Bricio Pineda, the talented Philadelphia star, suffered a pinched nerve yesterday in the game with the Expos, which could keep him out of today's lineup. "I'm a bit banged up," said the 27-year-old right fielder, "but we won't know until game time if I can play or not." Pineda got hurt while making a defensive play. The team doctor said he could be out up to one week.
Pineda is hitting .281 this year with 7 home runs, 29 RBIs and 24 runs scored. He has 55 hits in 196 at-bats, 10 walks and a .315 on-base percentage. Pineda has played in 50 games.

 | Tuesday, June 8th, 2021: Phillies Center Fielder Injured
It took the Philadelphia team doctor a while to realize it, but center fielder Eduardo Pena won't simply play through a strained thigh muscle after he got hurt running the bases in today's Stampede-Phillies game. At first, it looked like Pena might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 1-2 weeks. A spokesman for the club described the loss of Pena as a blow, but was confident that he'd be back soon.
This season Pena has delivered 15 hits in 70 at-bats for a .214 average with 4 home runs. He is getting on base at a .345 clip and his totals also include 15 RBIs and 15 runs scored. This year Pena has played in 36 games.
