Sunday, June 13th, 2021: New York (N) Loses Ryan Wagner
The New York (N) Mets will lose the services of starting pitcher Ryan Wagner after he sustained a strained back muscle while throwing a pitch in today's game against the Houston Astros. When asked about the injury, he took a philosophical approach. "Worse things can happen in life," Wagner said. "The key now is to stay positive." His trainer said he is expected to be sidelined for the next 1-2 weeks.

Currently Wagner has a record of 6-7 with 62 strikeouts and 15 walks in 91.2 innings and a 3.44 ERA.
Tuesday, May 18th, 2021: Mets Blank Montreal, Rodriguez Winner
New York (N) was pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard today as Pedro Rodriguez blanked Montreal 13-0. He stopped them on 5 hits with 2 walks and 8 strikeouts.

His skipper said, "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite. He was on top of his game in this one."

This season Rodriguez has fanned 47 in 65.2 innings and collected a 6-1 record with a 2.60 ERA.
