David Clary was on fire today and sparked his club to a 8-1 victory over the Tigers. The Montreal third baseman was a tough out and went 5 for 5 against Detroit in a fine hitting display.
"I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody...and some days they fall in."
D. Clary singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This year Clary is batting .312 with 11 home runs.

 | Tuesday, May 18th, 2021: Mets Blank Montreal, Rodriguez Winner
New York (N) was pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard today as Pedro Rodriguez blanked Montreal 13-0. He stopped them on 5 hits with 2 walks and 8 strikeouts.
His skipper said, "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite. He was on top of his game in this one."
This season Rodriguez has fanned 47 in 65.2 innings and collected a 6-1 record with a 2.60 ERA.

The Montreal Expos are reporting that Ian Kinsler will be out for about 2 weeks with an undisclosed injury. It happened when he cracked his molar on a sesame seed roll.
Presently Kinsler is batting .381 and has collected 7 home runs, 29 RBIs, .474 OBP and scored 29 runs.
