| Breaking News | | Sunday, September 26th, 2021: Dominguez on Fire, 5-5 Against Chicago (N) Players get multi-hit games all the time. But a 5-hit game only comes around once in a blue moon. It happened at Le Pallasades De Montreal when Matt Dominguez of Montreal scattered 5 hits all over the ballpark against the Chicago (N) Cubs.
He walloped 5 hits in 5 at-bats in his career-day performance to help the Expos get by the Cubs 7-3.
In a talkative and jovial mood after the game, the third baseman of the Expos exclaimed, "Whoa, my swing was really, really there today. I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens...good things happen...like 5-5. I could get used to a lot of days like this one."
M. Dominguez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off A. Veloz in the 8th.
Thus far in 2021 Dominguez has hit .338 with 7 home runs, 81 RBIs and scored 107 runs. | | Saturday, August 28th, 2021: Bad News for Montreal, Clary Hurt David Clary had to leave the Expos game against Florida after suffering dead arm syndrome while throwing the ball. He will be out of the lineup at least 2 weeks. He told SION reporters, "I just felt a sharp pain when it happened. I knew there was something wrong."
In his season totals, Clary has 26 home runs, .316 BA, .340 OBP, 107 RBIs and 84 runs scored. He has played in 128 games. | | Wednesday, August 25th, 2021: Ian Kinsler Suffers Injury Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Ian Kinsler of the Expos knows this firsthand. He was injured against the New York (N) Mets while colliding with a player at a base. Diagnosed as a bruised wrist, the Montreal shortstop is expected to miss 1-2 weeks. Kinsler was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "There is nothing I can do now. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen."
This season Kinsler has banged out 119 hits in 354 at-bats for a .336 average with 13 home runs. He is getting on base at a .430 pace and his totals also include 65 RBIs and 63 runs scored. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 87-75, .537 PCT | | Position in Division | 3rd, 24.0 GB | | Record at home | 44-37, .543 PCT | | Record on the road | 43-38, .531 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 10-10, .500 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 21-23, .477 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 27-15, .643 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 60-60, .500 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 6-4, .600 PCT | | Record in April | 14-13, .519 PCT | | Record in May | 15-12, .556 PCT | | Record in June | 17-12, .586 PCT | | Record in July | 16-10, .615 PCT | | Record in August | 14-13, .519 PCT | | Record in September | 11-15, .423 PCT |
