Thursday, September 3rd, 2020: Pardar Expresses Desire to Leave Athletics?
Allegedly, Chase Pardar has asked to be traded from Oakland. It is rumored that he is unhappy with fans and the team management and that maybe the pressure and demands of playing here are too great.
Tuesday, September 1st, 2020: AL Rookie Star Shines
Oakland's Roberto Noriega put the wraps on an excellent month today, topping it off with the American League Rookie of the Month award.

Last month the 23-year-old Oakland center fielder played in 26 games and hit .421 with 7 doubles, no triples and 6 home runs. Noriega also scored 12 times and drove in 27 runs.

Noriega has a .325 average and a .380 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 137 hits, 13 home runs and driven in 79 runs.
Friday, August 21st, 2020: Pascua Gets 5 Hits
Players get multi-hit games all the time. But a 5-hit game only comes around once in a blue moon. It happened at RFK Stadium when Evelio Pascua of Washington scattered 5 hits all over the ballpark against the Oakland Athletics.

He walloped 5 hits in 5 at-bats in his career-day performance to help the Nationals get by the Athletics 8-4.

In a talkative and jovial mood after the game, the second baseman of the Nationals exclaimed, "Whoa, my swing was really, really there today. I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens...good things happen...like 5-5. I could get used to a lot of days like this one."

E. Pascua singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

Thus far this year Pascua is batting .275 with 3 home runs, 22 RBIs and 29 runs scored.
