| Breaking News |  | Friday, September 10th, 2021: Justin Upton to Miss 2 Weeks It took the Baltimore team doctor a while to realize it, but shortstop Justin Upton won't simply play through a dislocated finger after he got hurt being hit by a pitch in today's Yankees-Orioles game. At first, it looked like Upton might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 2 weeks. A spokesman for the club described the loss of Upton as a blow, but was confident that he'd be back soon.
This year Upton has batted at a .260 pace with 136 hits, 20 home runs, 69 RBIs and scored 85 times. |  | Friday, July 30th, 2021: Drew On Fire! 5-5 for Detroit! It was a parade of hits for Christopher Drew of the Detroit Tigers...one right after another...a total of 5 for the day. He ravaged the Baltimore Orioles for 5 hits in his 5 at-bats and propelled the Tigers to a 19-2 victory.
"Drew was really good and we were really bad," groaned the Orioles manager. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."
C. Drew hit a two-run home run off I. Yamamoto in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and walked in the 8th.
Drew is currently batting .305 with 23 home runs and 89 RBIs. |  | Monday, July 12th, 2021: Baltimore Comes up Empty Against Potter In a splendid 5-0 shutout performance, Bertram Potter of the Colorado Rockies subdued the Baltimore Orioles on a 3-hitter.
His manager said in postgame comments, "He kept hitting his spots and putting up zeroes."
Potter registered 6 strikeouts and 2 walks.
