Thursday, June 10th, 2021: St. Louis Star DTD with Strained Bicep Tendon
Cardinals star closer Jorge Martínez may be sitting it out a few days after he picked up an injury in yesterday's game against the Portland Stags. He sustained a strained bicep tendon while throwing a pitch. Martínez isn't expected to miss a lot of time. However, doctors want to be cautious. They said he would be day-to-day for about 2 weeks.

This season Martínez has picked up 11 saves and a 2-2 mark with a 2.64 ERA. He has made 27 relief appearances, thrown 30.2 innings, walked 12 and struck out 24.
