 | Saturday, May 22nd, 2021: Orioles Pitching Ravaged by Faulkner It was a sensational day at the plate for James Faulkner as he led the charge to a 7-5 win over the Orioles. The Washington right fielder was pure misery for the Baltimore pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Orioles told SION reporters after the game, "Faulkner put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." J. Faulkner singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off N. Borges in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off J. Unrein in the 8th. Presently Faulkner is batting .270 with 41 hits and 3 home runs. He has knocked in 22 runs and scored 28 times. |
