 | Monday, May 25th, 2020: Guerrero Collects Hit Number 2000 The day belonged to Tito Guerrero of the Baltimore Orioles as he became the latest player to reach the 2000-hit plateau. He did it in Baltimore's 8-6 win over Florida. "It's a moment I'll never forget," said Guerrero after the game, "2000 hits is a lot. It puts you in a very select group. I never expected to be around long enough to reach a milestone like this." He finished the day with 2 hits in 4 at-bats. During his career Guerrero has compiled a .295 batting average and collected 2000 hits, 237 home runs and 1110 RBIs. |
